Access to Post-Primary Teaching Project Briefing Webinar

An informational webinar for students for Further Education colleges who wish to become post-primary school teachers through the APT route.

St. Angela’s offers a total of three BA/PME Initial Teacher Education (ITE) programmes through the APT Project. Each programme is 5 years in duration. All students study Home Economics & Education, along with one additional subject area, namely, Biology, Religious Education, or Irish.

The Access to Post-Primary Teaching (APT) Project is a joint initiative between the National University of Ireland Galway and St. Angela’s College, Sligo which aims to recruit individuals from under-represented socio-economic groups who are undertaking a FET course leading to a QQI award in a FE institution in the BMW region and who are interested in becoming post-primary school teachers.
