St. Angela's College To Launch New Employer Portal on Tuesday February 20th at 10am

St. Angela's College To Launch New Employer Portal on Tuesday February 20th at 10am

The Employer Portal has been developed in conjunction with the North West Regional Skills Forum. The Regional Skills Forum is a single contact point to help employers connect with the range of services and supports available across the education and training system. As a College within the wider National University network, St Angela’s College, Sligo is a dynamic fast-growing educational institution that recognises our strategic location in Sligo and the North West of Ireland. Employers can collaborate with St. Angela’s in the design and delivery of bespoke work based learning programmes, employers interested in recruiting our full time learners for employment or placement can also apply through the Employer Portal on the college website.
Right now employers in the food industry will be able to propose projects for students of the Bachelor of Applied Science in Nutrition, Food and Business Management in areas such as Market Research, Social Media Projects, Final Year Research Projects and be able to offer work placements, summer work and employ graduates.
The new Employer Portal will be launched in the Virginia Henderson Lecture Theatre at 10am on Tuesday 20th of February. There will be a chance to meet and network over coffee afterwards. Organisations with representatives attending include but are not limited to the following; IBEC, Skillnets, LookWest, Department of Social Protection, Regional Skills Forum and Údarás na Gaeltachta.
If you are a food SME in the Sligo region and would be interested in attending, please contact Ronan McArt, Joint Director of the B. Applied Science Nutrition, Food and Business Management on: rmcart@stangelas.nuigalway.ie to register to attend.
