Dr Edel McSharry (Nursing lecturer) and Eimear Murphy, a final year general nursing student were interviewed on Ocean FM on June 29th 2017.

This radio interview was in response to a letter sent to the Irish Independent which commended Eimear for the care she gave to a 92 year old patient in Sligo University Hospital.

Eimear talked about the high standard of education and training she received at St Angela’s and in practice. Eimear also spoke about her vocation as a nurse and her plans for the future following her graduation, in October.

Dr Edel McSharry outlined the range of nursing education programmes provided at St Angela’s at both undergraduate, and postgraduate level and the fact that the College will be offering a further nine undergraduate places from September 2017 onwards (5 in General Nursing and 4 in Intellectual Disability Nursing).
