Super Chef Junior and Senior Competition Final - Winners 2016

The Junior and Senior Super Chef Final 2016 took place in St. Angela’s College on the 10th and 11th of February. 32 finalists were chosen (16 Junior and 16 Senior) out of almost 900 entries. The standard of the competition was extremely high and all finalists should be very proud.
The Super Chef cookery competition 2015-2016 gives students an opportunity to create tasty, healthy and affordable meals at home. The final was judged by a panel of experts including award winning chef Shamzuri Hanifa of The Cottage Restaurant, Leitrim. There was a wide variety of high quality, healthy dishes made by all the finalists.
Congratulations to all 32 finalists (Junior and Senior) who competed in the Super Chef Competition. Below is a list of the winners and all who took part in the competition:



Our 2016 Junior winners are:

  1. Mamuela Oclon from St Mary’s Secondary School, Baldoyle, Dublin 13 under the supervision of her teacher Ms Donnelly.
  2. Silver: Bobby Hayes from Gaelcholαiste Luimnigh under the supervision of his teacher Ms Clodagh Nν Chronin.
  3. Bronze: Sophia Ostapiv from Luttrellstown CC, Clonsila, Co Dublin under the supervision of her teacher Ms Mc keown.

Our 2016 Senior winners are:

  1. Louise Mc Grath from John the Baptist Community School, Co Limerick under the supervision of her teacher Ms Elaine O’Donnell.
  2. Silver: Matthew Broderick from Youthreach, Kilmore, Artane, Co Dublin under the supervision of his teacher Matt Farrelly.
  3. Bronze: Alfie Cawaliero from St Clares Comprehensive School, Manorhamilton, Co Leitrim under the supervision of his teacher Ms Danielle Conaty.
