Flexible Learning Options in Special Educational Needs: Stand Alone Modules Now Available

The Centre for Special Educational Needs, Inclusion and Diversity (CSENID) welcomes applications for standalone online blended learning modules in the following areas:
·Adult, Disadvantage and Intercultural Education
·Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASDs)
·Challenging Behaviour
·General Learning Disabilities
·Inclusion for Learning
·Literacy
·Numeracy
·Specific Learning Difficulties 1 (Communication, Speech and Language Difficulties and Dyslexia)
·Specific Learning Difficulties 11 (Dyscalculia, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder and Dyspraxia/ Developmental Coordination Disorder)
Ten modules in the area of SEN are being offered which combine a blended learning format with online learning components and face-to-face workshops. The modules have attracted nationwide interest with participants coming from across the country to study at post graduate level. The modules also offer a progression pathway to Postgraduate Certificate, Diploma and Master of Arts qualification (Level 9) accredited by NUI Galway and would be of interest to Principals, Co-ordinators of Special Educational Needs (SEN), mainstream teachers, Learning Support/Resource teachers, tutors in other educational settings and members of multidisciplinary teams in relation to SEN.
