Centre for Special Educational Needs, Inclusion and Diversity host Seminar for Principals, Managers and SEN Coordinators

The Centre for Special Educational Needs, Inclusion and Diversity (CSENID) hosted a seminar in early November entitled:

"Supporting Professional Development: Seminar for Principals, Managers and SEN Coordinators.”
This seminar included the contributions from keynote speakers from NEPs, NCSE, SESS and the Inspectorate.

'We had very informative, interesting and thought provoking presentations from our keynote speakers,' explains Ms Ailbhe O'Halloran, Lecturer with CSENID. She noted that the Principals, Deputy Principals and SEN Coordinators in attendance found the seminar valuable to their work in the schools across the region.

Mr Eugene Toolan, Head of the Education Department chaired the seminar, which included the following keynote speakers:

Mr. Se Goulding (NCSE), Mr Alan Gregory (NEPS) and Mr Fionnbarra O Murchu (Inspectorate).

The seminar was also to highlight the various programmes available through the Centre for SEN, Inclusion and Diversity, available through part-time, flexible and blended learning formats to teachers and for those professionals working with children with SEN. A list of programmes available in the Centre is available by visiting:

CSENID Web site

Future seminars and conferences will be posted on the Centre’s Web site (above), through the CSENID twitter feed @CSENID  or or ‘like’ the CSENID page on Facebook.
