Access Courses for Higher Education – Mature Students

atNUI  Galway, St. Angela’s College, Sligo, and Outreach Centres

may be right for you !

 

The Access Course for mature students is a 1-year (part-time daytime/evening) course, which aims to provide mature students (applicants must be 22 years of age or over on 1st January, 2012) with the opportunity to prepare, personally and academically, for an undergraduate course of full-time study (3+ years duration) at NUI Galway and St. Angela’s College, Sligo. It is designed for people who may not have the conventional educational requirements and who come from socio-economic backgrounds that are under-represented at third level.

 

The Course runs from September 2012 to April 2013 on two/three day or nights per week with additional sessions on Saturdays. Students who successfully complete all aspects of the Access Course will be eligible for direct admission to an undergraduate programme in the colleges of Arts, Social Sciences and Celtic Studies; Business, Public Policy and Law; Science; Engineering and Informatics; Health Sciences and Education.

Costs for the Access Course are borne by the University (contingent upon funding).

 

We are running the following information sessions in order that any questions relating to course requirements and application procedures can be addressed. You are cordially invited to attend any of the following information sessions:

Date: June 14th
Venue: Hyde Room, The Glass House Hotel , Sligo
