Postgraduate Diploma in Special Educational Needs - Application Forms now available.

To respond to developments in the area of special educational needs and to enhance best practice in the schools, the Department of Education and Skills (DES) supports a Post-Graduate Diploma in Special Educational Needs which is intended to provide a recognised Post-Graduate qualification for all support teachers working in the area of SEN and Learning Support in mainstream primary and post-primary schools and for teachers in special classes, special schools/units and other relevant educational settings.
The Post-Graduate Diploma in SEN at St. Angela's College is provided by the SEN Team within the Education Department and is designed for teachers who are eligible to apply under the terms of the DES.  The programme leads to the award of a Post-Graduate Diploma in SEN and is accredited by the National University of Ireland, Galway. 
The course is funded by the DES.  Following successful completion of this course and subject to certain conditions, teachers may be eligible to be paid an annual allowance from the DES.
