St Angela’s College, Sligo hosted the All-Island Cookery Competition finals of Take Away - My Way, an event organised and supported by the College and by safefood.
The Home Economics Department at the College, safefood and the expert judging panel, including celebrity chef Neven Maguire congratulated all 16 finalists in each of the two competitions. On the 12th and 13th of March, the finals took place at St Angela’s College, Sligo with the following winners announced:
Winners- Junior Competition

• 1st Place: Laura Stack, Hazelwood College, Dromcollagher, Co Limerick
• 2nd Place: Lee Gregory, Piper’s Hill College, Naas, Co Kildare
• 3rd Place: Emma Redmond, St Angela’s College, Co. Cork

Winners- Senior Competition

• 1st Place: Annika Latimer, Enniskillen Grammar School, Enniskillen Co Fermanagh
• 2nd Place: Grace Beirne, Dominican College, Dublin 9
• 3rd Place: (joint winners)
  • Ellen Ashe, St Joseph of Cluny, Killiney, Co Dublin
  • Niamh Hoey, St Vincent’s Secondary School, Dundalk, Co. Louth
