Irish Wheelchair Association invites St. Angela’s College students
to be part of Inclusion Week

Students from the Nursing and Health Studies Department at St. Angela’s College, Sligo were invited by the Irish Wheelchair Association to join them for lunch to mark Inclusion Week at the Abbeyville Centre, the headquarters of the Irish Wheelchair Association in Sligo.
“Inclusion Week provided us with the ideal opportunity to invite the students to the Abbeyville Centre” said Helen Rochford Brennan, Service Coordinator for the Irish Wheelchair Association. “The students are studying Health and Disability Studies and this was a chance for them to come along and see how the Abbeyville Centre operates and to meet our members”.
The students were accompanied by the course Programme Director, Susan Carton who commented “The BA in Health and Disability Studies is a brand new course for St.Angela’s College, and it has been great for the new students to visit the Abbeyville Centre and to be part of Inclusion Week. We were warmly welcomed and very well looked after and I am delighted that as a result of the visit some of our students have expressed an interest in volunteering for the Irish Wheelchair Association”.
