St Angela’s College, Sligo is offering a number of cookery and culinary arts classes this autumn in advance of launching the Lough Gill School of the Culinary Arts in early 2011. These pilot Master Classes are open to the public and involve practical cookery lesson suitable for all skill levels.
“The aim of the Lough Gill School of Culinary Arts is to teach the basics of good cooking in practical, hands on cookery sessions,’ explains Amanda McCloat, Head of Home Economics, ‘Each participant will have access to state of the art facilities guided by an experienced tutor and classes are suitable for all levels.’ She notes the College has over forty fully-equipped kitchen stations to ensure individuals get a hands-on experience of cooking.
