About the Course
The aim of the 2 day workshop is to explore the area of interpersonal relationships and sexuality for people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The workshop will also discuss the goals of sex education and provide parents with an opportunity to reflect on issues around sexuality for people with ASD
Day 1

  • Participants will explore interpersonal relationships and the skills required to develop and maintain relationships.
  • Participants will address sexuality and how it is expressed throughout the life cycle.
  • Participants will discuss interpersonal relationships and people with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD)

Day 2

  • Participants will explore their attitudes to sexuality and interpersonal relationships.
  • Participants will identify the reasons for sex education and the gaols of sex education for people with ASD.
  • Participants will discuss the content of sex education programmes for people with ASD
  • Participants will address issues around sexuality and interpersonal relationships for parents and carers of people with ASD

  • Wednesday 21st April 2010
  • Thursday 22nd April 2010

The course will run from 9.30 a.m. (registration) to 3.30 p.m. daily.
