Strategic Partnership - IFHE

St. Angela’s College is an active participant of The International Federation for Home Economics (IFHE) the only worldwide organisation concerned with Home Economics and Consumer Studies.
The federation was founded in 1908 to serve as a platform for international exchange within the field of Home Economics.
The membership of IFHE includes 1500 individuals, 150 organisations in over 50 countries world wide.

St. Angela’s College in association with IFHE Ireland is privileged to be afforded the opportunity to host the International Federation for Home Economics Council due to take place in July 2010.  The theme of the IFHE Council 2010 will be “Vision 2020 – Home Economics: Changing Perspectives in a Changing Environment”.
This unique opportunity to facilitate an event of such international calibre set to take place on the College Campus is important for St. Angela’s College but will also be of great significance to the local community of Sligo and the surrounding region.
