School For Culinary Arts - About

Home Economics Department offers a range of innovative culinary programmes at the Lough Gill School of Culinary Arts, St. Angela’s College, Sligo.

The Lough Gill School of the Culinary Arts was launched in early 2011. “The aim of the Lough Gill School of Culinary Arts is to develop confident culinary skills through participatory hands on practical sessions,’ explains Amanda McCloat, Head of Home Economics, ‘Each participant will have access to state of the art facilities guided by an experienced tutor and classes are suitable for all levels.’ Amanda notes that St. Angela’s College has over forty fully-equipped kitchen stations to ensure individuals get a hands-on experience of cooking.

Sessions offered range from one off themed evening classes to full-time culinary programmes. Booking is essential for all classes. For more information please contact the Home Economics Department at 071 91 35650.
