St. Angela’s College Strategy, Objectives and Priorities for its Erasmus Activities
St. Angela’s College provides undergraduate programmes for a range of professional roles in education, health care, humanities, arts, applied sciences and social sciences.
The College actively supports this EU initiative by providing both students and staff of the College with opportunities to participate in the Erasmus Exchange Programme.
Students who participate in the programme have the chance to spend a period of between 3 12 months studying or working in Europe as part of their programme of study. Subject to approval, the study period or work placement may be an integral part of the students’ programme of studies and full recognition for time spent abroad will be awarded by the College.
In keeping with the Colleges Strategic Plan 2009-2014, Pillar 2.3, St. Angela’s College aims to bring a European and International dimension to enrich the student and staff experience. This will be achieved within the period of the plan by increasing participation in the Erasmus/lifelong Learning programme, emphasising student/staff mobility and European co-operation with higher education institutions. With this in mind, St. Angela’s College welcomes overseas visitors to the campus, allowing them an opportunity to experience College life in Ireland and also to contribute to the College community on a cultural level.
The College encourages staff (teaching and support staff) to consider visits to EU higher education institutions, believing that the experience gained will enhance the Colleges programmes and the methods of administration at St. Angela’s College.
St. Angela’s College is committed to equality of opportunity for all staff and students irrespective of sex, race, colour, nationality, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, religious belief, age or disability. Students with disabilities or impairments are equally encouraged to participate in Study Visits.
