Current Research

My research interests are varied, but can be summarised as follows: Levinas; Plato;  philosophy of friendship; philosophy of pregnancy and maternity; philosophy of religious education; Catholic approaches to religious education; religious education pedagogy.

Alongside of my research, I am responsible for teaching the following undergraduate modules on the B.Ed. (Home Economics and Religious Education) and B.A./P.M.E. (Home Economics and Religious Education):

In addition, I supervise undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations. I am also a School Placement and Micro-Teaching tutor for students from across all years of the programme. I represent the Education Department as a member of the College's Access Committee, and I act as a Personal Academic Liaison (PAL) for the BA3 Religious Education cohort. Finally, I am currently designing a new programme: the M.A. in Religious Education and Social Justice.
